U-pvc Victorian Conservatory

The real beauty of a conservatory is that it is a room, that is part home & part garden. On a warm summer's day with the conservatory doors open the conservatory is simply an extension of the garden. On colder days, it is a cosy and comfortable haven in which to enjoy the outdoors whilst the wind and rain are firmly excluded.

Adding a conservatory gives you more room to enjoy your home to the full, with a beautifully styled and crafted conservatory. Individually designed for a variety of budgets and tastes, our conservatories allow you to choose from a variety of finishes and glazing options, to complement your home.

A blend of tradition and technology has resulted in us being able to offer a conservatory that not only looks exceptional, but that's capable of withstanding the harshest of what ever the British whether can throw at it. In addition, the use of the very finest raw materials enables your conservatory to offer enhanced resistance to intruders as well as good sound proofing qualities.

From design to installation, your conservatory will be hand and custom built for your optimum comfort, using only the finest quality materials. Contact Double Glazing Atherstone.

Conservatory Roofing Options

Glass Vs Polycarbonate Conservatory Roofs
When most people think of conservatories they invariably think of conservatory roofs because it’s usually the shape and design of the roof that gives a conservatory its character. Whether you choose a Victorian, an Edwardian, or one of dozens of other variations its probably the roof that you will have in your minds eye when you first begin to think of your ideal conservatory design. The two materials available are polycarbonate and glass. These both come in a wide variety of choices.

Polycarbonate Roofing

Polycarbonate is a lower cost option which has been successfully sold for many years and could be the ideal product for you.

It is available in several different options: Clear – Opal – Bronze – Bronze/Opal – Heatguard

It is normally between 16mm or 35mm thick and your choice of polycarbonate will depend on your own individual situation.

The one downside to polycarbonate is that it is noisy when there is heavy rain. Since the thickness has been increased the noise has been reduced but polycarbonate will always be noisier than glass.
Glass Roofing

Glass roof Conservatory

Choosing Glass for your conservatory roof provides you with a 100% reduction in noise when directly compared to either 25mm or 35mm polycarbonate glazing products. Coventry Double Glazing offer the Pilkington range of glass for conservatory roofs including self cleaning.

The right glass can provide up to 74% Solar Reflection, providing you with an all year round conservatory, keeping you cooler in the Summer and Warmer in the Winter.
Summing up:
The material that you choose for your conservatory roof will depend upon many things: What you are going to use the room for, whether it is south facing, what your budget is, to name but a few.

Our designer will be able to help you make the right choice.
